Thanks for that solid advice.

One thing, in terms of side effects to finasteride, is this something that should be of concern. I am aware of sexual related problems that can occur, however in your experience how commmon is this?

Side effects of a sexual nature as you refer to appear to be in the minority. Blocking DHT can lead to such side effects and even blocking with natural products will also manifest this effect in some and not all. It appears to be an indivudual thing and I know many patients who are on propecia and also work colleagues without any problems and some who have reported such issues.

I was on Proscar for several years without such side effects. I did have problems when I switched to a brand that came from India and in my opinion were fake.

Ideally speak to your own doctor or a consultant in the UK who can better advise you of the associated risks and then you can make an informed decision.
