It is possible that a number of your transplanted hairs continued to grow and you could be experiencing very early growth. Maybe a picture from a few feet away showing the hairline shape which is definitely there.
The redness can linger for some time, are you applying anything such as Aloe Vera?
The red dots in your donor is the body healing itself.
Thanks for the update.

Thanks for your comments risingforehead and Big Mac. I think you suggested I take some pictures from further away. Do these help? I find it fascinating because just a week or two ago it was really difficult to see any hair. Now there appears to be lots and even at a distance you can see it (although not thick/dense). The length makes me think it is transplanted hair that has kept growing although it is still shorter (and possibly thinner) than the hair in my pre-op hairline.

The grafts are definitely there and seem to be growing. Hopefully, you’re an early grower as well.
A few weeks can have noticeable changes. Be patient though, they will all grow when it’s their time.

You got lucky grabbing that unexpected slot with Dr. Bicer considering the waiting list which is longer than when I asked for a date last year. We have near identical loss patterns, but I have thinner hair than yours. I was told 3000 grafts, but my plans took a nose dive, leaving me no time for the next 9 months. My loss will allow me to follow your journey, and learn what to expect. I believe you chose an amazing doctor, the transplant itself looks perfect, and I have a feeling you will not be disappointed with the result.

Thanks Gordon. Yes I’m delighted with my choice so far. Did not expect to have any improvements at this stage so if new hair comes through soon it will start to look pretty good I think.

re: waiting times. Yes I was very lucky to get in so quickly especially as for now I am still working from him so redness is not such an issue. If you want to get seen sooner then it is worth you keeping in touch with the clinic and asking them to look out for cancellations for you. Before I got the seminar opportunity I had been asking for a cancellation slot and her assistant did suggest these come up fairly frequently.

Hi, do you mind me asking, approximately how long are the waiting times for surgery with Dr Bicer at present?

A long waiting list is one indicator of a quality clinic in my opinion.

Up to the 4 month mark now. Really encouraging progress with loads of growth. Still a long way to go and still lots of redness but I am delighted so far.

The density has improved from your last update. Redness is lingering on. Has Dr Bicer advised on anything to use or just let it heal on its own? The way the density has increased you may well have what looks like a final result at 6-7 months.
It’s good to hear you’re happy with the progress.
Thanks for the update.

Thanks Bigmac. To see an end result that quickly would be amazing although I would hope to see alot more density by then for me to be truly happy. I certainly feel like it is going well so far though.
Re: the redness. Initially Dr. Bicer advised me to leave it. After about 2.months she suggested anti-inflammatories for 1 week but I saw little benefit. She wasn’t keen on aloe Vera initially as she was concerned it could cause damage but after 3 month she gave the ok to try. I’m not sure if it had made a difference or not. I’m less red than I was a month ago but whether that is related to the gel is difficult to say

Yes, it would be great if you do achieve most of your growth by then but don’t be disheartened if not as it’s a 12 month journey, sometimes slightly longer. If the redness is improving and not causing any itchiness etc it may be best to just leave as is and heal on its on. Redness can linger for quite some time.
