2nd fut scar expectations

Hi Guys,

Jus wondering can a 2nd fut procedure produce a thin fut scar or should a patient expect the scar to be slightly wider after a 2nd procedure?

Also how does taking 2 strips affect the shape of a norwood pattern? Does the removal of these strips pull the crown bald spot lower by the width of the strip?

Regards
Hh

If you go with a good surgeon you can still have a thin scar dude providing you have good laxity.

It depends on your laxity, donor closure and the skill of the doctor. Scars can stretch regardless but as Bn states, doing your research and choosing a good doctor will benefit you greatly.

Are you thinking of going back to your first doc? they should know your situation or at least have a good idea. How big was the first strip, as BN and Bigmac have said it depends on your laxity i think.

I ´ve seen many strips after the first one and if all is good there is no difference, but it must depend on your situation i think.

In my experience I have seen scars stretch irregardless of the numbers of procedures or skill of the surgeon. I have seen great scars from multiple surgeries. It is completely individual.
