No one in their teens or early twenties should have surgery unless caused by a disease such as Cancer or from an accident such as a burns victim imho.

I was contacted by someone who was 21 recently who had strip and the results were not to good and he totally regretted having it done.So the clinic who did his procedure obviously had no concern for his well being.

There most probably is no age limit for some clinic ´s, you got the money there do it.

be very careful......check your family history, look for signs of miniaturisation etc , and try to stabilize your loss with meds first...hair transplants can be great with good ethical doctors, but imo its best to wait until your hair loss pattern seems to be established.... there are so many cowboys out there waiting to take advantage of young vulnerable people

No surgery is 100 per cent safe, all have risks,do your research.Choosing what you consider to be a good doctor will reduce the risks.

I do not think the age limits. I have just completed my research paper writing about this Hair transplantation Procedure. Hair transplantation is the most effective method of dealing with male pattern baldness. The surgery involves removal of the scalp €™s hair-bearing portion and transplanting it onto the bald patch. Hair transplantation surgery is a delicate affair calling for a series of precautions. In the surgery that takes about four hours the scalp is treated with certain antibacterial chemicals and then shampooed. Several precautions are taken while conducting hair transplantation surgery, of which the patient is informed in advance. S/he also decides whether to go in for single or multiple sessions. But it is important that no medicine other than the antibiotics prescribed by the surgeon is taken and the patient stays off alcohol for a designated period before surgery. After the hair transplantation surgery the patient loses hair in only the areas where none was transplanted. Whether to go in for medication or hair transplantation treatment of the untreated areas is the patient €™s prerogative. But if he s/he has opted for surgery in one portion it makes sense to repeat it in the newly balding areas as well. For remember that medication isn €™t half as effective as transplantation in these extreme cases.

Hi alex99,

Don't go for hair transplant as always risky and uncertain. Instead of Hair Transplant try Natural hair products which are good alternative to ones which have an abundance of chemicals within them. Visit makeoverforfree to know more natural hair loss tips and treatment.

makeoverforfree I think you are posting on the wrong forum as people here on the whole(95% I would say) have genetic hairloss and your natural pills dont work against androgenic alopecia.Pills that do nothing except lighten your wallet-WEVE SEEN IT ALL BEFORE LOL.The only pill that works is called PROPECIA by the way.
