Yes, you will be given instructions by your clinic.

It'll be at least a few days before and after surgery due to the blood thinning impact of alcohol.

I think most clinics would advise a week before and after, but risking damaging grafts by being drunk just isn't work it, so a couple of weeks after would make more sense.

Thanks, think I’ll give it up for a few months, not that I drink a lot

Sounds like a good plan. I tried to do everything I could to ensure good growth and not add complication to the surgery.

So I followed the clinics recommendations to the letter. I don't smoke or drink really so that wasn't a hassle, but did also cut out caffeine and stopped all dietary supplements and topical minoxidyl as I approached the surgery date.

I had the surgery today so now it's a case of looking after the grafts and following post operative instructions in the same way.

Well done and thanks for the advice. Hope it all went well and hope you look forward to your new hair. How many grafts did you get ?

My second (and hopefully) final surgery was 2500 grafts, mainly to my crown.
I'm looking forward to getting back to baseline and can't wait for the new grafts to grow. Waiting really is the hardest part!
