There has been recent debates among clinics and physicians what constitutes a good healthy FUE graft. Some clinics say that they would rather have skinny trimmed grafts than fatter chunky grafts. In my own opinion as well as the two physicians I work for agree that an FUE graft with extra tissue is better for survival... but what tissue?
In this example under the microscope taken today, I would have to say that these types of grafts are slightly better than a skinny graft. The yellow around the bottom of the follicle is adipose(fat). This protects the follicular bulbs from drying out.
In this case a 0.9mm blunt rotary punch was used.
