Announcing no shave FUE - Prohairclinic

Prohairclinic

Prohairclinic FUE and SMP
At this moment we are training non-shaven FUE that will become available to the public around the end of the year.

Non-shaven means no full shave in the donor area nor shave in the recipient area. Only the grafts that are to be removed will be cut down. We are also going to experiment with long hair fue, meaning the hair length is kept as is.

As you might guess, this technique is extremely time-consuming and slow.
Therefore it will probably only be used for the smaller session at first.

Prices will be significantly higher than regular shaven fue, however, we do not have any specifics yet. More about this in September/October.

When you say smaller sessions, how small, a few hundred grafts?

We believe it will be around 500-1000 grafts max per day.
With a good plan, it would be possible to have a session about every 2 or 3 months since there would not be any shaving involved.
Hence, a large amount like 3000 grafts would be do able within 6-12 months.

Obviously you will still have some visible issues during the first 5 days or so because of the blood remains that will be sticking within the existing hairs. However once you can wash the hair, there will be no visible impact of the treatment;

Thanks for your reply. I wonder about the healing and after care with long hair. Isn´t there a greater risk of infection and just making it harder to keep clean and heal? especially with larger numbers? Just curious, thanks

We have seen some other drs. at international meetings that have experience with no shave FUE sessions.
It seems that since the sessions are smaller there is much less chance of infections. General healing is obviously faster then when performing mega sessions.
The dr. will decide if any special pre or post treatment medications are needed. This might be the case (for patients that might work in dirty enviroments) or nothing at all if the patient is not in a special enviroment that would require extra measures.
