Interesting read and so true. I was in my mid-twenties when I first consulted with Dr. Farjo. I'd receded and thinned out at the front but my crown was intact. He stressed the importance of planning long term but all I wanted back then was to restore all the hair I'd lost - I really didn't think I'd care how I would look when I was forty or fifty.
Thank God I listened to him in the end because those twenty years since have flown by and I have decent coverage throughout with an age-appropriate hairline (and still some grafts in reserve if needed).
I can't stress enough to all the twenty-somethings considering a transplant - long term planning is THE most important consideration. You may not think you'll care about your hair in twenty plus years but believe me, you will!
