artificial fibres discussion

Hi All,

Just wondering what peoples opinions are on the above? I know that in the past people were highly recommended to avoid them. I just cant understand why fibres cant be developed that will not be prone to infection? Are there any reputiable companies currently researching

There are loads of people putting foreign objects in there body without a problem, why is it so difficult to develop an artifical hair?

With the growth of micro pigmentation the idea of hair that doesnt grow doesnt seem to be an issue.

Is the problem the point where the fibre leaves the body is highly susceptable to infection. If you cut your donor hair and found a way to anchor the hairs in incisions would your own hair follicles be as inclined to get infected?

My thinking is that people must be researching how to turn scalp mp from 2d to 3d. Would it be plausible that if you could anchor hair clippings from your donor they would be less likely to get infected?

Sorry in advance if this is an extremely stupid proposal!!!!

Also would bio fibres or similiar be less likely to cause infection in scar
tissue like an fut scar? ( tissue is already dead????)

Yess many objects are inserted into the skin and scalp but most of these objects are surgically acceptable such as stainless steal... and tattoo inks are also time tested for rejection.

As far as the artificial hairs... in the past they have caused an inflammatory response which results in redness, irritation and ultimately an infection.

Human hair an also cause this response. We see it every once in awhile when a hair chip gets in bedded in a site wound, or an FUE hole or even within a suture in a strip.

If a trimmed hair could be bedded in an artifical tissue like an normal follicle in fue would it be prone to infection if only the hair was protracting from the scalp? When i say artificial tissue i mean a tiny plastic sleeve with a similiar composite to materials used in bypasses and similiar operations?

I have yet to see any artificial hair fibers be accepted by the scalp without detrimental effects. I believe it's still not legal in the USA to implant any artifical hairs so you'd have to pose your question to a clinic that has experience in experimenting with it.

I would not go down this route, the cases i`ve read about online seem to encounter problems and lasting damage to the scalp.

I've seen cases like this, it always looks terrible, and really damages your skin.

I've only seen one example of this on another forum and it was a disaster.

Im not really asking about an existing synthetic fibres im more so asking is there and potential for a safe artifical follicle to be developed.

I was thinking more along the lines of achieving a 3d alternative to smp i taught by using your own donor clippings and artifically anchoring them in the scalp this could be possibly achieved, obviously with a lot more research and development .

I think there could be one developed that would work but as Sparky says i dont think there will be a need for it in the future.
