Hi all, wondering what the success rate of BHt is? i know it may depend on a number of things, also if you ran out of donor grafts, would you take the option of BHT?

It is a big question to ask and I am sure you could be given many conflicting answers to the use of BH and whether it is good or not.
We have been using BH for a number of years but with a degree of caution in terms of numbers harvested in one procedure and from where the hair is removed. It can be on the correct candidate a new source to widen the hair donor supply but that does not mean it is a suitable option for everyone.
We feel it is better applied to cases where the scalp donor has been exhausted, for example repair patients generally, and can make a significant difference with good planning. But I do not think it should be relied on as a guaranteed source for everyone as there are many factors to consider and a great deal of thought and education should go into BH prior to going down this road.
