Botched frontal hair transplant in Turkey

28 months ago I underwent a hair transplant in Turkey with a well known clinic. Not happy with the final result.
I feel the hairline is very unnatural, grafts are too thick and wiry, don't match current hair laying. the hairline design is square no way to style hairline exposing current hairline.
The clinic has given me very poor aftercare. Nonexistent at times.
I have now been offered a free touch up, should I take it?


Advice would be appreciated.

Hi Del, welcome to the forum.
The growth is good, it`s hard to say it looks stalky from your pictures but does appear to be quite straight. Have you clearer pictures exposing the temple areas? Side on view.
If it is a clinic with a proven track record I believe their offer of a free refinement is acceptable. Most clinics in Turkey use techs to do the work with the doctor doing the design and the incisions. You could ask them that you want the doctor involved in the whole process if that's possible.
Some grafts may need to be punched out to get rid of the squareness and the thickness element. Then fine single hairs planted in and around the hairline to soften it up.
How would you describe your hair caliber? If you have thick coarse hair they will have to carefully select single finer grafts to achieve your goals.

Do you think the grafts have been planted at the wrong angles? The 60-65 micron suggests your hair shafts are thick in diameter which may prove difficult in sourcing finer grafts to refine your hairline. They may have to extract from an unsafe area such as Nape hair to get the fine hairs. I`d ask them to punch some of the corners out, making the design rounder and more natural looking. Growth wise it looks very good. On going back, only you can make that decision.

I do believe the grafts are at the wrong angles. I also believe that i have a few multi hair grafts placed. They just seem to stand and not lay properly with rest of hair. In sunlight new hair looks very thin and have faint redness rounded on my forehead. In my pre op pic the hairline was rounded, some how it ended up so straight with all the new grafts placed uniformly alligned.
Correcting this hairline how long will it take approx and how many new grafts would it take? I originally had 3000 grafts placed in frontal area and temples.

Do you have pictures showing the placement and a better picture from before surgery? 3000 is a lot for a hairline.
The multi grafts will probably have to come out, I don't know if they'll be able to take all the wrong angled grafts out if there's a lot of them. It might be a case of blending them with finer grafts.
