Choosing between Wimploe, LHCSC & Westminister group

Hi,

I need between 1000-1300 grafts mainly in my temple area where my hairline has receeded

I have mixed race Caribbean hair therefore need a specialist in my area because the grafts may be curly under the skin.

Ive narrowed my search down to these 3 England based surgeries.

Ive drawn my desired hairline with a red pen.

Have you consulted with any of the clinics you mention? Who is LHCSC? What age are you? Are you on any hair loss prevention regimen?
I think your graft estimate is in the right area. I would have said 12-1500.

Hi,

Thanks for the response

Age:26

Hair loss prevention: None

LHCSC: london hair transplant clinic

Consultations: The Holborn Hair Scalp Clinic - Had in person meeting with Dr Stevens, he said the procedure will be carried out at Wimplole Harley street. Ive noticed many clinics are in Harley street.

Out of the three, they all claim to specialise in black hair -

I have a consultation with the other 2 clinics too. Any advice would be appreciated.

You may want to consider hair loss meds if your hair loss is still progressing.
Mr Stevens is not a doctor, he is a tricologist. For a hair transplant, I’d want a doctor to quote me on graft numbers, not a trichologist. What doctor did he say would carry out your surgery? Do not book a surgery before you have a chance to research the doctor.
I see no patient results whatsoever on their website. I don't see how they can claim to specialise in Afro hair.

London hair transplant clinic. I see a few poor quality Afro pictures on their website. I don`t know if they are good or not.

Westminster clinic. I see a few examples on their website with more pictures than the above two options. Again, I cant confirm either was if they specialise in Afro hair but the results look decent. Westminster have been performing hair transplants a lot longer than the others.

Ask if you can see more examples of their results. Speak to patients if possible.

Harley street is a prestigious address but does not mean anything in regards to quality and skill. Don't let the location sway your decision.

Afro Fue is trickier because of the curl shape to the grafts. Strip does not have the difficult extractions faced with Fue. I would enquiry if they use Dr. Umars UGraft extraction method which is specially designed for this purpose.

Mate u dont need a transplant
If u worried about ur loss which i cant see go on meds
Trust me u have good hair, i reckon if u have a transplant it will make u more worried about ur hair
If u just want a straighter hairline trust me in 10yrs time it wont bother u

I've seen some great results on afro hair from Dr Lupanzula and Dr Bisanga over in Belgium if you're looking at European clinics.

Your hair looks good as it is however and I would at least wait until you're 30 to see how it progresses.

Here's some photos of a recent FUE Dr. Geoffrey performed via UGraft for a patient with Afro-Caribbean hair. Worth coming in to meet him dimsix for a chat, discuss medication routes and have your donor region assessed for the future.
