Cosmedica (Dr. Acar), Istanbul Turkey

From reading other threads here on the site, it sounds like quite a few people got their HT done by Cosmedica (Dr. Acar) in Istanbul, Turkey.
I'm curious as to the results and how the donor area looks after it has healed? Are there white spots or thin areas? The reason I ask, is that I still want keep my hair short after my HT and not have a discolored area on the back of my head.

Hi Sm333 if your thinking of going I would all round recommend it. There is lots of guys doing it there every day up to 4-5, The donor area heals well eventually you can see some guys here with pics of the donor area a few weeks on. All the best

The donor area is a good question. I personally feel that they over harvest. Im at 3.5 months, my donor is 75 per cent un noticeable, but on my right hand side there is a slight extraction pattern.

Depending on how many grafts you are going to have, i would say anything around the 3800 mark upwards, your donor will look thin....of course everyones different. I had a large op, and i dont really think my donor was capable of that in one sitting.
