Dancing on Ice: Surgery photos reveal Jason Gardiner's hair transplant
by Simon Boyle, Daily Mirror 28/03/2011

These pictures reveal the bald truth about Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner`s revolutionary hair transplant.

Locks were grafted from the back of his head to his bare patch nine months ago in a £35,000 operation that took eight hours.

But the ITV shows Mr Nasty has worn a flat cap during the series because it can take up to a year for the new hair to grow fully. Jason, 39, admitted yesterday that baldness sent him spiralling into depression and self-hatred.

He said: I was ashamed of myself. I couldn`t be intimate with people. It was a nightmare.

We revealed two weeks ago he`d had a transplant. He says he was loving it when his thatch began to reappear after the pioneering op in the US. Jason said: And I`ll never lose this hair.

His hair looked good on "this morning" but not sure if he had any conealer on.Ziering was on too and it cost $35000 to have Ziering himself do the procedure so I am thinking he doesnt do all procedures and has other doctors who do the standard hts on normal people ! but his website doesnt reveal this and I must say results on his site are few and dont look impressive compared to the standards we would expect and compared to Jason Gardiners!.I also noted Ron shapiro is listed as a Ziering surgeon.

Well my opinions of Jason have changed drastically..... I always thought he was too mouthy on Dancing on Ice, i now realise its all for the show and he has insecurities like the rest of us.

I thought it looked superb too dude.....and whether he had concealor in or not, it was a great outcome imo considering where he started......bet he was glad to ditch the system though;).

Good on ya Jason for having the courage to talk about your transplant on national TV. ¬b`

I don't think he would of got that density with 3500 grafts, deffo some sort of help going on there.

Why did he end up at The Hospital Group? He must have some very useless and lazy assistants who didn't do the proper research.

The Hospital Group name has been changed to Ziering Medical now as far as i know. From what i`ve heard they have made lots of improvements and replaced certain doctors.

Hopefully patients will now get good results and post them on here.

The only improvement that I would like is to recompense old butchered patients like me. Norton isn't called Norton anymore, but they are still butchers.

I see your point Sparky but what we call butchered and poor results they may have classed it as a good result due to the lack of skill by certain doctors in their employment.

All i`m saying is hopefully people wont get the bad results anymore, they may not be ranked up their as one of the greats but i`d rather people get decent results and not need repairing, so fingers crossed the changes they`ve implemented will achieve this.

As for a refund for previous patients, this would be great if it were or could happen in some way.

Sadly there are very few clinics that will refund for bad work.

The fact that they aren't coming clear about the fact that Jason Gardiner is obviously using concealer, is a massive deception, and a clue to how they are operating their clinic.

I`d like to have seen some pre op pictures with his hair longer to see how much native hair he had left, i know this may have been difficult as it appears he kept his hair buzzed.

Also does it metion anywhere if he is taking meds.

I also agree with you Sparky that if he has concealer in there it should have been disclosed.
