Hey guys!

Does my post-op look pretty typical??

Definitely look like an avatar right now and headaches in forehead...

Any/all feedback would be appreciated!!

Yes it looks normal. Are you about 3 days post-op?
Did the clinic provide any pain medication? If it, regular off the shelf pain meds are fine.

Is the spacing ok though?? I have really thick hair, but the grafts look too far apart in my opinion.....or am I just worrying for nothing??

It’s difficult to tell once scabbing covers the area. You would need to add a clear immediate post-op picture for an opinion.
How many grafts did you receive?

These were taken as soon as I got home from the operation.

** both of the assistants who extracted my hair, were amazed at how many 4 and even 5 hair bundles, per graft, that I had. I ended up with 1374 grafts.

***also....I was just wondering about this, but they said I have some kind of "J" hook on my hair follicles, and I was told it is an African trait....is there any truth to that? Lol

There is quite alot of space between the follicles as you say. 1374 is a little bit low in my opinion for the area, something like 2500 would be normal.

If here are no grafts between the scabs that we can’t see then the density is on the lower side. The first few rows of grafts should be single hairs. Then the transition from 2 haired grafts and larger to create the density. You may end up with a decent look if everything grows. If all grows well, worst case you’d require another pass to add density if you weren’t satisfied.
I`d ask the clinic for the pictures they took on the surgery day.

I agree that it should have been 2500 grafts... but if you didn't shave, it's difficult to place more than 1500-2000 in one go.

Did you request your surgery pictures? How does the recipient area look now?
