Dr. Bicer - 4,000 grafts

Hi, I would like to recommend the service of Dr. Bicer and tell you my own story.

I am a Norwood level 6, therefore I was looking for a Doctor who will do an excellent work with no mistakes.

After more than a year of research which included many questions in different forums, along with conversations with patients with similar situation to mine who have had this process, I have decided to go with Dr. Bicer.

The whole process from beginning to the end was great. The crew was amazing and very professional.
Miss Ozen kindly answered all my questions immediately, even when I sent her messages at 10-11 p.m.

The clinic receives only one patient per treatment which is great.
The crew gives you 100% and more for anything you need with a big and warm smile, while providing top-notch performance.

Dr. Bicer was in the clinic during the whole process, performed her magic and gave me a lot of confidence, which I definitely needed.

My treatment includes 4,000 grafts and took almost 10 hours. I did not feel pain at all. During each part of the process Dr. Bicer and her crew explained me what they are going to do, and they were extremely professional.

Next year I will do one more session to the crown area.

There is no doubt that you are one of the best doctors in the world for hair transplant.

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you had a great experience at the clinic, everything going smoothly. I’ve chatted with Ozen quite a lot. She is very prompt at replying snd s very nice person, just like Dr Bicer.
Being a Norwood 6 I’d look into Finasteride (if not using it already) to help maintain your remaining donor for when you go back to have the crown addressed.
Those 4000 grafts should make a big difference to your appearance. Once your new hairline grows in, it’ll provide a more youthful look.

Dr Bicers work has been impressive and she seems to have many happy patients which will be you in 12 months. Do you use Finasteride to help your donor and how many more grafts do you have left to sort the crown?

Your experience has me intensely interested. Your hair loss situation seems very similar to mine. I’ve had people on this forum suggest I’m a Norwood 5 but I might be heading towards a 6 now, I certainly don’t feel I have much more hair than I can see you had. Having researched lots of surgeons I am also leaning towards Dr Bicer as I like everything I’ve read about her clinic.

I’m only 7 weeks into using Minoxidil and Finasteride and so don’t expect to undergo surgery until say next January, but what I’m seeing here fills me with hope. I’ve had a preliminary evaluation which was basically the same as you’ve had done - close to 4,000 grafts for the front/top and then a second surgery to address the crown.

One thing I notice is that you obviously still had a band of hair across the centre, but it looks like new grafts have been added to that area also. I had wondered whether the new grafts would completely avoid that area, but it looks like it’s been assumed they will shed too at some point.

Can I also ask - were you given an evaluation of your donor area and how this will be affected by the current and second procedure?

Reason I ask is that my donor is average at best and my expectations have been managed that if I have all the bald bits covered, I should expect to have to keep my donor areas about 2-3cm long in order to cover the depleted areas. I do wonder about this and whether I’d be happy to leave the crown untouched instead…….I sort of think I’d be alright with that, but if the first surgery was a major success I’d no doubt find myself obsessing about the birds nest at the back!

Also, when are you having your second surgery, do you need to give it a year?
