All you need to know about hair loss and a successful hair transplant.

In this video, Dr. Christian Bisanga discusses the influence of age, family history, past medical history, and medications amongst other things on a hair transplant and how these factors may impact hair loss.

Its a slightly longer video presentation which allows Dr. Bisanga to offer more depth than his usual bitesize style videos, but a wealth of information that is invaluable if considering surgery, or concerned with hair loss.

Thanks for sharing this educational video. Far too often I'm hearing from patients who just went for it with a little research on the clinic and what hair restoration entails. Some don't even have a consultation, just send off a few images, get a price and off they go.
This video will educate people and hopefully, it will help them make an informed decision on how to proceed.

Absolutely. In an ideal world, all patients would have the opportunity to meet their doctor for consultation before committing to surgery. Whilst this isn't always the most convenient option for the patient (especially in these times of travel concerns), with such a significant emotional and financial investment involved in surgery, it really is worth scheduling that travel and consultation, even considering associated costs. The pros of an in-depth consultation weighed against the expenses (depending on location) is well worth looking into, and allows the individual to make a fully informed decision and understand what may realistically be achieved.

Sometimes traveling for an in-house consultation is not an option due to the distance involved. Lots of patients will travel around the world for the right clinic. Having to do a lot online means the information you receive back from the clinic should be very detailed and precise. Whilst it`s hard to give an exact graft count this way, an approximate will suffice. Then on the day of surgery, it`s important to have a face to face consult and examination of your head with the doctor.
I receive emails and messages from people saying they've sent off their pictures and all they receive back is a price and number of grafts.
Some get lucky with a decent result, some do not.
These educational videos by "good doctors" like Dr Bisanga will help many.
Keep up the good work.
