Sometimes the giant procedures don't seem to grow well. Seems to only be a small percentage but still the risk is there.

How did it look after 1 year was there more hair then or the same as now?

Sorry............but at some point patients needs to take some responsibility for having a large procedure..............all part of risk management.

Sometimes hair transplants fail and no one is to blame. Could very well be a tech or doctor did something different but not very likely..............could just as well have been something the patient did without even knowing and certainly not intentionally.

Always safer to start out small in my opinion.

Looks like the grafts where spread very thinly and I always put a big question marks on these numbers I see posted when they reach these ridiculously high graft numbers. I agree with Topcat that its better to do smaller procedures but with that I mean 2500 - 3000 grafts which I believe is the best numbers for a large FUT procedure.

How does your strip scar look?
Dr. DeYarman is not known for sloppy closures so hopefully it looks rather ok. If the scar can be further treated (fue and/or pigmentation) to look acceptable with really short hair in the donor, you might opt for an FUE extracting whatever you have left for scar touch-up and also placement in front and/or crown. Thereafter, go for a really high quality pigmentation and keep hair as short as possible.

Just my two cents.

I'm not saying this is a good/bad result but to be honest i personally think most HT's will look thinner when this short....you need to grow it out to create a layering affect imo. You did have a large balding area beforehand. Do you have any pictures with some length?

Dr Deyarman was my first Dr who I had two sessions done by way back in 1986. I was not very happy but he did do a good job as far as the strip scar. As good as could be back then. I think this is not going to be showcased as a good result though. ;ss;
