Yesterday I completed a hair transplant with Dr Ilhan Serdaroglu in Istanbul.
I got an email asking to leave a review in several forums which I’ll do as I’m very happy with my experience and hope it can help others.
First, I found finding a place very difficult via Google. Loads of options, most with fake reviews and red flags. Searching the forums made me realise most of the top Google search clinics.
After searching the forums I found Dr Bicer looked good. I called them and they were full. They wouldn’t recommend or discredit anyone but said I should look for ISHRS accreditation. I searched for this and there were only 13 in Istanbul. I looked through all these and Dr Ilhan had the highest ratio of positive reviews, and they all looked real.
I’m only one day after the procedure but all the grafts seem to have taken hold and made it through the night. My experience at the clinic was great. I was the only patient and I was able to have a long chat with Dr Ilhan about what I wanted. I never felt rushed. He also did all of the extractions himself. The Dr also gave me a discount as I didn’t need the number of grafts in the photo. I didn’t request this but I think it shows they are genuine.
Dr Ilhan explained each stage of the process as we went along and checked if I was relaxed and happy with the food, background music etc.
Other Notes:
The hotel was brilliant – 5 Star Wyndham Kamis
The blood tests were not included. Cost about 30 euros to have done here – they arranged this but it meant I had to come a day earlier.
