Dyeing my hair before surgery

Hi all,I'm a long time lurker on the forum and thought it was about time I joined in.I've finally decided to take the plunge and go for a hair transplant in the region of 2500 grafts after several consultations with prominent clinics from this forum. They all recommended FUT as my donor is not the greatest as I'm a nw4 and I've had a previous procedure which used up most of my donor hair.I dye my hair light brown every 2 weeks as the grey hair lowers my self esteem, now I'd like to know, can I dye my hair prior to surgery as I don't want to ruin my chances of good growth.Any help will be very helpful.Thanks.

Thanks Mars,it's not just the Grey hair,my hairless pattern combined with the Grey makes me look older and feel older which is why is the reason I dye it,call me vane if you will but like most I want to make the best of my life while I can.

If you were to dye it before surgery I would say two weeks to be safe.
All the best on your surgery and it would be great if you could share your story with us on here.

Cheers Bm.

More importantly... Do not dye your hair immediately post op and the first moth post op. Harsh chemicals can although not proven could potentially hurt the grafts.

Mars, I`ll add some pictures once I`ve had my surgery. Hairtech, I will take your advice of 4 weeks to play it safe.
