Finasteride & conceiving

My partner was taking 1mg of Finasteride for hair loss for around 7/8 months last year and got really good results. We decided to try for a baby so he decided he would come off of finasteride just as a precaution. He has been off of it for around 5 months now and the progress he had has pretty much all reverted now. We have not conceived and he has restarted finasteride for a few months. Our plan is to try again in the future, but my partner wants to come off of it to try just in case, but the hair loss is causing him to be really down and he's going back and forth with not knowing what to do about it.
We have found more articles that say there is little to no risk of being on it when conceiving but he is extremely cautious.
I was just wondering if anyone has any experiences they wouldn't mind sharing of taking it when conceiving? Thank you
