Hi all, Some of you may think this is a silly question, my apologies if it is. I've been reading the forums on and off for a number of years and no further forward.
My question is about the possibility of forehead reduction to reduce the number of grafts required to rebuild the frontal zone. If you have a high forehead could you have a bald strip removed, pull the tissue in a back to front movement, then have it sutured up.Theoretically the hair bearing tissue will move towards the hairline, thus the need for less grafts.
You could have grafts placed on both sides of the donor closure to conceal it, then at a later date have some planted directly into the scar if needed.
I realise that more recession can occur but surely the forehead reduction is worth doing as the amount of donor grafts saved this way outways the risk of the scar stretching or future loss.
I`d appreciate any input, negative or positive.
