FUE and the short hair cut

For those that are unsure whether an fue procedure can be performed and still allow the patient to wear their hair cut very short with a 1 or 2 guard yes it is possible. All one needs to do is research the industry and find the clinics that are achieving those types of results and view them in person with your own eyes.

Those that are paid industry experts or working for clinics to help guide patients in their decision not to know that this type of result is possible seems hard to believe. With easy access to information that was often hidden in the past this no longer becomes an issue. They are either not very well informed and therefore cannot possibly be an industry expert or they are deliberately spreading misinformation which is basically lying and certainly should not be guiding patients.

This type of misinformation might have easily gone unnoticed years ago when the medium was only one way and the experts were never questioned as their word was gospel but that has all changed. Now when they are questioned they like to fall back on accusations of agendas when an intelligent answer is not forthcoming. Of course none of this is true but it does become a convenient response. Patients that are aware are just sick of the scumbags in this industry that continue to believe it €™s okay not to be completely truthful with prospective patients if it is to their advantage, meaning monetary gain. You see this is what happens when you start to massage the truth, you risk losing any respect you previously worked so hard to build and it now becomes okay for critics to use a harsher tone.

All patients are asking for is honest information so that they can make an intelligent decision. Lying, playing dumb, or just really not knowing when you actually work in this industry starts to become a very slippery downhill slope so it might be best to rethink your position and take the high road.

It is possible to have fue performed and cut your hair very short, yes. Anyone that tells you that it is not is a liar. Does this mean all clinics performing fue can achieve it, no. Just as many of those same clinics cannot even manage to achieve a decent yield. Do your research.

Antoine I would rather not make a recommendation for you. I can only do what is best for me as a unique individual. It would be much better for you if you searched the results, searched the history of the forums, consulted with clinics, met patients in person and constantly ask questions. It €™s not something someone else can do for you and this is what makes picking a doctor off a recommended list equally as bad. You are putting you trust in someone else doing the work for you and it is a very bad idea.

The reason I posted this is because I become so unglued when I hear people that work in the industry spread disinformation. Basically saying that the results for fue and being able to cut your hair very close to the scalp are just not there. I mean really how can anyone who considers themselves an expert say this and expect to have any credibility.

I have never really been against strip as long as a patient understands the procedure and is willing to accept everything that goes with it for more hair. But it has now become apparent to me that strip only clinics are a very poor choice when seeking guidance they simply are not going to give you honest advice that is in your best interest which is very sad.

Good post, its best to do plenty of research and meet patients if possible, the popular bad Fue clinics out there aren`t hard to find on the forums.

It €™s good to have an extensive filter when researching. Some questions that can be added to that filter are the following. They might make many uncomfortable but they need to be asked and better to ask before then after a procedure.



Have you ever been sued by a patient if so how many times and please provide details.

Have you ever sued an employee or former employee, if so how many times and please provide details.



Will I need to sign a lengthy non disclosure statement regarding my own procedure and if so why.

I would like to make a recommendation as to who a what a prospective should look for in an FUE clinic.

1. Look for posted consistent results. No brainer right? However I receive emails daily from folks who ask me why doctor x has been performing FUE for years but will not show a before and after.

2. Look and ask specific questions about how long the staff has been hired. A turnover rate every few months is a bad sign.
3. Randomly ask staff members what they think about their jobs... this is a subjective tool but effective on feeling the morale at that time... very important.
4. Never stop asking questions. Never stop bugging the staff and the patient care members. Grill them until you are comfortable.

The bottom line is this: Do your research. There are many clinics that can do a great job consistency on all patients... even more clincs that can accommodate most patients with some consistency.... however 75% of the clinics worldwide can perform a hartransplant that is probably unacceptable in a time tested standard.
