FUE - Dr Mark Tam - London - 2021

Very impressed with Dr Mark Tam.

End to end the process was unrushed and a lot of care was taken to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible and would get the best result possible.

Dr Tam exudes confidence and experience, very comforting when you are having a one off cosmetic surgery. I researched a lot of doctors and spoke to a few other companies but am very glad of my choice. Definitely not the cheapest (you get what you pay for), but great value at the price, paid a little over £7k, but I'd expect it to be priced higher given the service and result. Maybe get in now before the prices go up... ;)

Free ride home in a nice town car and a custom made hat to hide the surgery on the way home are nice touches.

Was really impressed by how fast it healed and how quickly I could get back to "normal". I expected the first two weeks to be a lot uglier than they turned out. In fact I was able to leave the house pretty early on without looking odd.

Dr Tam has been good on the aftercare, regularly checking in after the op and back in for a follow up 2 weeks after the procedure.

Now what you actually care about. Pictures.

Hello Doneinlockdown and welcome to the forum.
It`s good to hear you had a great experience with Dr Tam and that the surgery went well. The placement of the grafts looks nice and clean.
At 10 days post op you look to have retained a lot of your grafts.
Have you a picture showing your donor area after the extractions? How many grafts did you have?
Are you on any type of hair loss prevention regime?
Thanks for sharing your story.
All the best.

2839 grafts, comprising:

1s: 414
2s: 1402
3s: 1023

For a total of 6287.

No photo of the back. But by the second day when I took off the bandage you could barely tell it had been touched (although a little red and it was quite itchy). Now a month on and shedding has started, there is no sign anything has been done. Still really happy with it.

It’s a good graft count. Good to hear it’s healed well with no sign of surgery and most importantly, you’re happy with the progress.
Any chance you could add a picture of the donor now and the recipient area?
All the best.
