Hmmm linch mob i think not.

This is a fair and honest forum,Sparky is expressing his experience with Dr. Rogers although a long time ago its still his experience.

As i suggested to you earlier, ask the doc for some patients you can meet, then make your own mind up.

Simple.

Then if you go to Dr Rogers, please share your results/experience with the forum as it will help others researching.

Yeah get an unsatisfactory HT from someone, then let them do it again......dont see the logic

And you say he got this wrong just once? Theres lots of complaints about him, just google it, but even if it was just once, you expect me to forgive and forget for messing up 12 years of my life? No Chance! This is my head and no one else has to deal with it but me.

Also, are you saying I work for BHR or something, because I happen to of recommended them?

By the way, i'm not interested in continuing to bash Dr Rogers in this thread, i'm trying to move on. Go to whomever you want to.

you started bashing him not me

all i am saying is he's very experienced, & works in the UK if it all goes tits up

and i'm not i favour of the lynch mob approach

i will do my research and meet all the docs over the next six months and make up my mind but i won't post here again
I'd of left it alone if you hadnt kept asking me about him, insisting that I'm probably the only one.

Nope I had a surgery with Rogers in 2000, seems to of improved since then, but I still wouldn't let him near me. I'd recommend Dr Bisanga at BHR in Brussels. 2 Hour train journey from London, piece of cake.
This is my first post about him, hardly bashing him in this post.

I stand by this statement that I think hes better now, but I still wouldnt go back because of my experience.

Seems like someone trying to discredit my forum and make it appear its biased etc.

Never mind, people will see through it.

He aint posting here no more Sparky so i would not concern yourself with what he thinks.

Just want to add that I think Farjo are the best in the UK, then Rogers, and all the rest are irrelevant.

As Bigmac said, I was reporting on my experience with Dr Rogers, and I did say that I think hes better now. There are some HT docs in the UK who I hate, really hate, but Dr Rogers isnt one of them, he wasnt malicious.

but i still have the hankering doubt about using a foreign doctor, and no matter what anyone says it all seems abit daft to me. what would happen if something went wrong? there would be no GMC eetc...
also the shear hassle of going to london to get on eurostar then trapsing across some city i don't know just for an appointment no doubt seems OTT to me. maybe i am kinda lucky that my loss isn't too extreme and i'm not overly worried about it......yet!
I can understand your concern with travelling abroad, but remember there are lots of British HT patients who had surgery here in Britain and had poor results, and there is nothing they can do about it. Sure, they might be better off if they are the victim of a negligent doc and they are at home, but seeing a quality, highly regarded surgeon is the whole point of travelling. Foreign doctors see a lot of patients unhappy with their transplants with British doctors.

Yep, I hear what you are saying, and there are lots of unhappy people abroad as well. Just do a few searches and it's pretty depressing. My fear is that people may think that simply by going abroad all will automatically be ok...well it might not.

Do patients take out medical cover when they travel abroad for these HT's?

Hey Georgehairline,

You are obviously an intelligent man so let me explain how this works. Many guys, and some ladies, have genuine and very deep-seated concerns about their hairloss, so they come to a place like this to try and suss things out. Those that don €™t risk going into treatment completely blind and ill informed.

I €™m sure that you are aware that the industry is swimming with sharks that will gladly extract you of your money and have no issue with leaving you in a situation 10 times worse than it started. If you don €™t believe me then just take look at some of the hideous cases that can be found without too much effort on the web. The point of these forums are to help those out there suffering and anxious to see through the mist as best they can.

My personal opinion is that extensive research should be done on as many forums as possible to avoid repeating the mistakes made by others. If someone €™s had a bad experience that €™s the point of a forum isn €™t it €¦..to share the experience, how else do we get to know who €™s good or not? If you don €™t like what you hear then don €™t take it onboard.

Once you are content that you €™ve done enough research make your decision and either choose a doc or do nothing. Sometimes the research can take years. Weigh up the risks along the way and if it €™s too great for you, well again do nothing. And that includes the insurance issue you raise.

If you want advice from many guys who have gone through it before, then post your situ and the membership will comment to the best of our ability. Take from that what you will. If Dr Rogers is your chosen doc then go with your decision and we will wish you well, particularly if you post and share the results on this forum to inform and help others of the outcome.

However, a request, please don €™t go out of you way to disrupt this forum, if you don €™t like the way it €™s managed, funded or get the answers you want to hear, then do yourself and us a big favour and post elsewhere. If however, you want us to help you, then we will try and there will be no hidden agenda.

Good Luck

Hi George

I'm just starting to look into FUE as well. I'm from London and I'm a Norwood 3.

It would be good to hear back from you and find out if you've made more progress researching UK/overseas surgeons.

Justin

He's gone thankfully, the guy wasn't genuine and came on here saying the same thing but with a different user name. There's still no good fue surgeons in the UK, go to Brussels or the USA or Turkey, forget the UK when it comes to fue.

Thanks Sparky

I thought he sounded genuine.

Anyway, what about the Ailesbury or Farjo in the UK? Or BHR in Belgium?
