Hey everyone,

Apart from growing your hair at the back to hide the fue scars. Is there anything more you can do if you like your hair short ? Tattoo ? Just thinking ahead

Punch size matters with Fue. Number of extractions and extraction pattern matter.
Some people heal well with minimal scarring that’s hard to see whilst others may be prone to scar tissue. If you do get fue scarring, options are smp, grow hair longer, have a skin fade haircut that works well for some.

From what I’ve read the hair dr uses a 7 or 8 punch. HT world is totally new to me would you say either one of those would be good to minimise scarring

0.8 punch size is pretty standard these days….Smp or donor restocking are options if you’re worried about visible scarring.

Don´t go to a Dr that suggests large FUE procedures. The more punches is going to equal more scarring and I´ve read many times limiting the grafts is better for healing and less chance of getting a badly scarred donor.

You have to be accept that scarring will occur after surgery. Different factors will play a part on how visible they are. To answer your question, SMP is the obvious solution and this has risks associated with it.

The best SMP to scars I have seen are always when there is a big contrast between the skin and hair colour. The scars are hidden better. But fair hair and skin it´s less effective. Not sure you would get your monies worth. Like techno 1 says scars are a part of a hair transplant. Make sure you get a Dr who cares to spread out the extractions around your head evenly, not take in smaller areas.
