FUT performed on a 55 year old Caucasian male with:

- NW Class VII
- Donor density of 84 FU/cm?
- Hair diameter of ~75-80 microns

Treatment plan:

- 1st Follicular Unit Strip Transplantation in order to reconstruct the hairline, central core, lateral humps and beginning bridge
- 2nd Follicular Unit Strip Transplantation to fill in the entire crown area and lateral humps

Performed procedures:

1st procedure (April 7th 2011):

A Follicular Unit Strip Transplantation with 3699 FU
* 745 single hair FU
*2102 double hair FU
* 852 triple hair FU

Normal donor closing in double layer suture (no Trichophytic Closure Technique);
Parallel incisions in custom-sized blades technique (~Cutting Edge blades of 0.9mm €“ 1.1mm);
We tried to achieve a harmonized overall density due to the extent of the recipient area. Different densities were applied depending on each different recipient zone.

2nd procedure (April 4th, 2012):

A Follicular Unit Strip Transplantation with 2623 FU
* 411 single hair FU
* 1560 double hair FU
* 652 triple hair FU

Trichophytic Closure technique in double layer suture;
Parallel incisions in custom-sized blades technique (~Cutting Edge blades of 0.9 mm €“ 1.1mm).
