GOING FOR IT

Hi There,

This is the 1st time of me posting I'm going get a transplant soon , saved up and now got the guts to do it! I'm looking at BHR or Hasson and Wong to do the work, coming to london next month for the consultations and hope the work will be done in nov/dec.

what would be the best thing to do. Get as many grafts at the 1st attempt or go for a couple of sessions to see how its grows.

I'm just looking for a wee bit of advise from some people who's had surgery c;;9

Hi and welcome.

Have you any pictures to show your level of hairloss, as for which option to go for thats your choice as both will probably need two sessions if you are a NW4/5 area and you have the donor hair available.

I'm still alittle bit confused, looked at millions of photo's and read many reviews.In a ideal world you would love full coverage, but i don't think thats going to happen

Can you give me your opinion, what you would do! ano and who would you go to for the surgery, dr bisanga or hasson&wong.

You look like a norwood 5/6 to me but your donor looks good.I would get the frontal third done first, see what it turns out like, then decide if you want to add maybe more density and go for a light coverage in the crown.

Both clinics you mention do great work so its down to you to decide which one best suits you.

Sorry bn on holiday for a while.

Even on vacation,everyday couldn't stop thinking about this transplant.Taking over my mind

Only got a online consultation fron hasson/wong, can give 3500-4000 depentant on laxity of skin.... really scared of a full strip!!!!.Seen some really bad photo's of the back of head and dont want a big scar if i still have to keep my hair short at the back!

Got a consultion with Dr Bisanga on 26th Aug in london!

I'm thinking of a mini strip and the rest fue extraction! Hope to try and get as much coverage as possible in 1 or 2 sittings but I see what he says.

If anybody got gd advice , glad to hear

Yes, with the way you wear your hair along with your good hair to skin contrast I would just have fue. Create a hairline with a little density and let it go thinner as you reach the crown. It €™s a safe bet and it would really look good with that short hair style. You can always have the strip later if that is what you choose.

You have waited this long and you seem to be mature enough to have the patience to wait for the result. Usually it €™s the much younger man that seeks more of an instant result and all too often with disastrous consequences. This is just my opinion.

If you dont want the possibility of a strip scar showing you will have to go FUE if you decide a Hair Transplant is for you.

Yeah went for it on january 5th got 3000 graphs at zone 1,2 n 3 ,like you said.
now nearly 5 months what a change , cant go by a mirror n not look at it. Its coming along good, only downside , the hairs are coming in very dark n my hair at the sides n back is salt n pepper, so now got to dye my hair to match.
Well got the bug now got my 2nd procedure booked 29th oct for 2500 graphs to fill the crown,cant wait
