Hair loss or shock loss after hair transplant?

The first picture (longer hair) was taken 2 month ago. That was before I had my hair transplant. That image was sent to the clinic so they could see the hair status.

Now 2 month later, 1 month after I did the hair transplant to fix my receded hairline, my crown looks like that... Like my crown looks horrible even tho it was fine 2 month ago. I can see that there are many hairs in the crown but they are super short and also thin.

Is that a weird shock loss? Is the hair just growing slower? Or am I unlucky and my hair thought it would be a good time to start thinning?

Additional info: Not taking fin or minox

Have you more details about your surgery? Graft numbers, was your head shaved down and some pictures would be helpful.

What has the clinic advised?

2800 Grafts FUE, head shaved down. My clinic just tells me that I should give it some time but I want to know if its hair loss or whatever...

It’s hard to say if it’s shock loss or you losing your hair. The hair does look thinner compared to your pre op but this could be down to lighting and the hair being short.
Have you a picture of your crown as it is now, same angle as pre op but a little further away?

Does your donor extractions extend round both sides? What’s your age and why no meds?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to establish your hair loss and surgery facts.

I can't take a photo with that angle and the lightning at the moment, its too dark right now. Later.

They also took some grafts from the sides yes.

Iam 20 years old. I take/took no meds because I always had the "receded" hairline and I did not know that I had hair loss, otherwise I would not have done it. To be honest I still dont know because I was born with the hairline and I also always had thin hair.

Anyways I went to Istanbul for the transplant and the doc told me that I should take these meds... My dermatologist I went to afterwards told me to watch my hair before taking finasterid. Well now I will definitly take finasteride.

A picture in "better" lighting... Oh by the way my donor looks also really bad. The hair has also grown very thin and short.

20 is very young to have a hair transplant. Hopefully, you don’t lose more hair. If you do decide to take Finasteride, it could prevent of really slow down any future loss.
Which clinic did you go to?
You could have shock loss in the donor region that should recover.
For now, you just have to wait it out and see how things turn out.

Is the crown picture with short hair what you are worried about? I do not see a problem myself, the hair is just short and you can see your head. But, like bigmac said your donor looks like shockloss. I hope this works out for you being so young. Any members of your family with hair loss?
