I am a 20 year old male and have been losing my hair since the age of 17. This is so distressing, I have lost all confidence and do not enjoy going out. I attended the Zeiring Clinic in London for a consultation thinking I may be able to have FUT but the doctor was reluctant due to my age as he said that I could go on to lose more hair and be left with an "island" on the top of my head and I wouldn't have any more donor hair to fill in the gaps at the sides of my head if I were to lose any more hair. He said he would need to see me when I was older to see the full extent of my hair loss. Unfortunately because I am so desperate to have a hair transplant now I asked him if there was anything he could do to help me. Reluctantly he said FUE would be a better option and then he could only do a small area at the top of my head where the loss is worse. This would make me happy and give me more confidence. I just wondered if anyone out there in my age group, or if you had this experience at my age, if you could offer me any advice or show any pictures of surgery you may have had at a young age. I understand what my doctor is saying but I just need something done to help me.
