This looks very good! Your hair characteristics combined with the graft numbers will look great when it is grown out. Who did you go to?

Hi Urbanlion. Can you refresh me on the clinic you chose? Those 3400 grafts should make a big change to your appearance.
Everything looks pretty normal at 10 days post op. How do you feel the healing process is going?

Hi @Bigmac. Sorry I have not mentioned it in my most. I have plans to make post about my journey but I have been busy.
I will also make updates.

The clinic is called Akasia and they are basically a Turkish clinic based in Sweden. I live in Norway. They have just opened a clinic in Norway but since this clinic just opened, the operation team from Sweden does the operation in both countries.

I would like to not say that much about the clinic since it’s early days. I will conclude later when results are expected.

@Techno1 Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your positive comment. I appreciate it since deciding to do HT has been hard. It’s a Swedish clinic called Akasia.

I forgot to mention about the healing process. This was big concern for me because of work and that i like to have really short hair cut on donor area and wanted to avoid noticible scarring. The healing was for me a little to good to be true. I knew what to expect after doing some research. The only thing I underestimated is the itching on my head.

After the wash on day 10 it was hard to tell and it looked like i just had a uneven hair growth. No redness because of my skin tone I guess. I visited some friends and was wearing a hat ( I try to avoid wearing a hat) but I had to take of the hat because of the itching and nobody noticed anything.
Funny thing is we started to talk about HT without them noticing I did a HT.

Someone mentioned that I looked good with having hair that short and then another guy says that he don’t suit having really short hair or bald look and that he would do a HT if necessary. I thought that was funny since i just did HT 10 days ago and that they could not tell.

I have have already told some friends and family members. Reason I did not tell about my HT that day was because there were many other people there that was not close friends.

My concern is that i have a really bad habit of touching my head because of the itching. I almost never touched my head before the scabs was gone. I have not had bleeding or grafts falling out. I use Aloe vera but it does not help much. I just wonder if touching my head or almost massaging this much this early can have consequences later on because of bacteria and etc. or that it is just in my head.

Once the grafts are secure there should be no issues with touching your scalp.

That’s good to hear your friends didn’t notice you’d had anything done. Once you’ve got your result you could tell him, see if they believe you. As for itching, sometimes anti histamines work well. Touching your head now will do no harm to the grafts.

@Bigmac Do you know why some transplanted hairs go through shedding and others don’t? Like some hairs shed while others never shed. I thought that was interesting since the hairs have been transplanted at the same time.

No one really knows the answer to this. If they did, we would see more non shedding patients.
