For those who have gotten hair transplants, I have some candid questions for those who have regrets. I see most posts showing great outcomes, however I feel that outcomes that were unsuccessful, are much less likely to get posted for obvious reasons. There is a lot of vulnerability to admitting the final outcome wasn’t as positive as expected. (I’m inquiring as someone who’s considering a transplant but also not so naïve enough to think that every result has terrific long lasting results).
For those who didn’t get expected results, do you regret getting your transplant and if so, is it because 1.) the results looked good for a short while but quickly got worse? 2.) it looks worse now than pre-transplant? 3.) can only style hair one specific way to look good? 4.) even transplanted hair started to miniaturize or didn’t survive? 5.) Something else? For those who were on meds such as Fin or Dut for years, and still had trouble stabilizing prior to transplant, when you got your transplant, did the transplanted hair remain stabilized even if native hair didn’t?
