Hair transplant scar stretching

Hi everyone, I had a 2600 strip surgery three months ago which I'm happy with so far with the exception of my strip scar which has stretched a little. It's quite noticeable as I have some shock loss above the scar making it easy to see. I know the shocked hairs should grow back but my concern is the scar will stretch more. How long after surgery is it safe to assume the scar has fully healed and won't stretch? Also how long does the redness last for?

Hi Chanex,
It may not be that the scar has stretched it might just be that you have suffered shock loss around the scar which when all the hair sheds can look like a widened scar. Redness depends from patient to patient on their healing and skin tone some a couple of months and others can last up to 6 months same applies to how long the scar can stretch for.
If it is temporary shock loss which it should be then it takes 3-5 months to grow back.
Some photos would help.

The healing time for the scar is around 6 months. Try not to put stress on the back of your neck/head for the 6 month period. You can tell if the movement you're doing is putting stress if it feels tight. Do an alternative movement if you can.

Is it a general rule after Strip surgery to not put pressure on your neck for 6 months?

What about exercising or competing in sports?

Thanks for the advice. The scar does look wider where I have less hair which could be the redness making it look wider.
6 months, for stress do you mean straining my neck in an upwards or downwards movement?
