HDC recipient and donor zones always look tidy. What size and type of punch is typically used for extractions? Also, do they use implanter pens or forceps with pre made incisions?
I'm curious because my logic tells me better density can be created making a slit that opens up and closes around the graft whereas a round punch hole logically can't be closer than two slits.

Type of punch and diameters are various for every paitent, depends on the type oh hair and skin, at HDC we adjust we do FUE with microscopes, we don't use Choi pens, Dr. Maras and Dr. Christina use small tiny blades to prepare the incisions.

Choi pens are problematic, if you use DHI method, making the incisions when the grafts are into the pens can highly risk the grafts and kills them, however some few doctors only use the pen to punch and implant the grafts while making the incisions with small blades as well, it's s matter of preference, at HDC our staff implant grafts handly with tweezers.
