Hey Fresco,
Really pleased with the results i got :)Hairline has really framed my face and i can wear my hair spiked up!
I do feel like my native hair behind (mid scalp )needs beefing up at some point, and maybe a few touch ups to my hairline...what do you think?

Hey Peapoddy thanks for calling back to repond. Your hair looks somewhat thinner in zone 2 so it would benefit from thickening up but overall your appearance is good. I would maybe have some finer grafts adding in the hairline as you may have lost more native hair in small areas, hard to tell really.

Thanks fresco for replying :)
I'm might even just buzz it tbh
My hair is naturally very fine and blonde so i'm not sure ill ever get the desired result ,
Lately iv'e never felt like my hair is styled cause it feels so dry, limp and thin
Here are some pics in the worst case lighting in direct sunlight ...let me know your thoughts.

I would not shave down as you have a good head of hair although somewhat thin in areas. You could use a thickening shampoo and concealer if certain area`s bother you.

Hi Peapoddy, I would not shave down yet, cut it shorter to see what it looks like.

Hi Buddy
Its great to see you back on the forum

Its up to you but I agree dont buzz down you suit your hair short like you had it around 6 months post op , you have shown pictures worse case in direct sunlight but you hair is much longer and am sure if it was shorter it would not look the same , wishing you all the very best let me know if and when your planning to go back to HDC

Take care I care

I think you're hair came out great man. I want to do a temple hair restoration and have been considering it for years. I'm just scared.
Also man you're in impeccable shape? Do you use a supplement? If so can you give me advice?

Yes I agree you are in top condition. Always good to see someone that takes care of their body and health because feeling good and being able to perform both physically and mentally as human being can often go much farther in bringing one happiness then the constant greed we see in the world to purchase that next doo dad which only brings a temporary happiness.

I can see beefing up that area behind the hairline but as for the hairline itself have you considered maybe lightening the hairs themselves. You seem to have naturally lighter blondish hair and I honestly think it could make a huge difference for you. It cuts down on the contrast. Maybe highlights or something of that nature?

thanks topccat29:)

I never considered highlighting my hair, one thing i noticed was my transplanted hair was much darker in comparison to my native (i guess it being healthy and DHT resistant )

Do you suggest i do some high lights on the transplanted area to blend in better?I'm looking around fro a good product and i found just for men

I will give you my honest opinion and I do think HDC does great work. I think lighter and thinner caliber hairs should have been chosen most especially for those temples as when hair is placed side by side in the manner it has to be exact or the shade difference will be too obvious. Most especially with blond/light hair.

I have no doubt that if you lightened the hair be it just in the hairline area or over all it would be a huge improvement. It would match better and become all one shade and the contrast with the scalp would be reduced. I`m sure there must be a temporary color you can experiment with and evaluate for yourself. Of course if you can find a top notch salon that would be better but many would rather just do it at home in privacy.

30 years ago when some quack extracted thick dark plugs of hair from my occipital zone and placed them in the hairline it was very hard to conceal. The reason being the hair itself. Those single hairs did not match the rest in the area. Most with common sense would know this is a terrible idea but at 23 you assume doctors and people older in age have common sense. Anyway it was a good lesson I guess now I know the hairs have to match so at least I can pass it on.

I`m not sure what you mean by add hair to the hairline but in my opinion that red circled area you have depicted is the most important area to have most of the density. The hairline can be thin and the crown bald but that area needs density for most. The reason being is if someone is looking at you from the front and they can see completely through your hair to the wall behind you it tends to look odd and many that are observing will hesitate trying to figure out what seems out of place. With more hair in that area hopefully one can prevent that see through effect with a denser wall of hair but it has to be well behind the hairline in that midscalp area. Of course this is just my opinion.

You could also try a different hair style as the current one does make it much harder. If you lightened your hair and let it fall forward you would probably not need additional work. This is not the best example but kind of what I mean as it completely blocks all the light from the scalp. I think it would suit you, good luck.

4 awesome repairs with SMG
I would cut the front shorter dude if it were me but i still think it looks good and i wouldn't shave down either...theres always an optimal length imo for HT's and different lengths can change how good they look.

Thank you so much topccat29 for your help :)
I agree about the mid scalp being very important ,definitely considering another procedure next year to beef up that zone.I've been doing my research for years on hair restoration and i am glad i chose HDC ,i had great growth no doubt about that, i would just like to try and soften my hairline a little ,perhaps with some nape hair or picking out the more finer hairs.
Ultimately long term would be to get maximum coverage hairline and mid scalp ,i really wouldn't want to waste grafts for my crown ,that will thin out over time i'm sure but hopefully meds will keep progression slow and the use of concealers will buy me a lot of time so i can enjoy my 30's and 40's perhaps with decent hair .Hair loss is so unpredictable though ,i'm just trying to be positive :)
I'm so pleased i had my hairline worked on it really has boosted my confidence ,its not perfect by all means and as each year passes i get more used to it ,but when i look back at my pre op pics i realise how bad it was!!!
keep lifting buddy ¬b`

just a quick update guys

It appears my hair has thickened up nice again.Maybe i was going through a random shed after slacking on minoxidil ?

Anyway I've been super consistent for the past 3 months and my mid scalp is hardly visible under bright light :)

I'll post pics up soon

Do you apply Minoxidil once or twice a day?
