Hi there,

My name is Tom Walker and I thought I would share my experience as a doctor in the world of hair loss. My niche area is the use of bimatoprost for hair loss, which has shown a lot of promise.

Hopefully I can share my knowledge and help people out.

I realise this question was asked to Dr Tom so please excuse the manners Tommy ;)but I think that bimatoprost is something similar to the product Latisse that makes eyelashes longer (could be wrong).

I seem to recall reading about it on another forum somewhere.....so if so i am curious to how this can be used to address hairloss.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the welcome.

Bimatoprost is the name of the active ingredient in Latisse, in the same way that finasteride is the active ingredient of Propecia.

I have been using it for eyelash and eyebrow growth in patients since 2007, so naturally some people have wanted to try it on their head.

It is not a miraculous treatment, but it is a useful addition to most regimes.
