How does this forum decide who the recommended UK HT clinics are?

You make some good points.

I will contact the Liverpool clinic and probe more into the matter.

I posted all those credentials only to show (in case some people thought it) that the HT doctor wasn €™t a €œcowboy € or someone operating a dodgy clinic. Sometimes things like this have to be spelled out to some people who might have a €œbias € towards the more established clinics or clinics that have treated them. We are all human, and as such are prone to this sort of thing.

I will contact the clinic and find out exactly what they do and what they offer. I am in no position now to even afford as little as £3000 for an HT. I only decided to have one a few weeks ago, and as I am on a very low wage and in insecure employment, and pay a high rent for my flat, it will take me a while to save up for it. And because of this, I felt embarrassed to book a consolation with the clinic and then have to tell them I can €™t afford the treatment until a couple of years or so later. They might think it odd that someone so poor would be so vain as to contemplate an HT. Silly, I know, but that is how I felt.

Just for the record years ago Norton was a member of different associations ISHRS being one of them. He was also a fully qualified physician and had his own GP practice.....didn't stop him doing botched plastic surgery operations and dodgy hair transplants.
Ask to see their work in person. Proof is in the pudding as they say.

Yes, I will ask to see their work in person. The poster in the link to the other forum about the clinic said that he met with a former patient of theirs and was satisfied with their HT.

Nothing is ever certain in life, less so with cosmetic surgery, so risk-taking is part of the price you pay.

If the worst should come to the worst, and my hairline is not as I expected, I can always comb my hair forward in a fringe. This was how I combed my hair before I lost it anyway.

If I were in your shoes and your set on going to this clinic I'd contact the other member you spoke about on HTN forum who was happy....see if he's willing to meet up so you can see their work in person.
On a side note you seemed to make a big deal about there only being 3 UK clinics on here....as far as i know they only recommend 2 UK clinics on HTN (Farjo and Reddy) this doesn't bother me in the slightest, I only mentioned it because you brought it up about their being limited UK clinics on here dude.

Yes, I €™ll contact the other guy who had the HT.

Yes, the other forum only mentions two UK HT surgeon. I get the impression from that forum that they shun all others in the UK.

Statistically, I can €™t accept that out of all the others in the UK that aren €™t "approved" in that forum, that they are all €œbad €.
