HT Booked! Hair Dr. Oct 2021

So, long time lurker, first time poster.

Finally got the courage to book in for my HT. Discussions with the team at the Hair Dr. have been great, certainly feel comfortable with my choice.

Quoted 3k grafts, primarily hairline and mid-scalp with the option for the crown too.
What are people’s thoughts on the crown area? Personally, it’s not been something that bothered me, but the thinning and receding hairline was. I also read it takes more grafts with a lesser effect than say, implanting at the hairline.
Currently taking Fin 1mg daily and biotin (for last 2 weeks).

Can’t say I’m not nervous, but hope for a decent result.
I’ve attached some pictures, be kind!
Not expecting a lowered hairline (always been pretty high anyway)
Will keep updating throughout my progress as I’ve really appreciated other people’s journey.

When I considered my HT the crown was 2nd priority compared to my hair line, but I’m glad I went ahead and had the crown done. Dr Arshad explained that the crown does eat into your graph count but did a brilliant job of using limited graphs to a achieve a good effect. (I now let my barber show me the back of my head) I’m sure you will be in good hands with The Hair Dr and his team they really do care about their patients and the end result. I remember being nervous leading up to the procedure but it’s a walk in the park, so much so I wish I had gone ahead with it sooner. All the best and keep us posted with your results

I think leaving the crown for now is a good idea. Concentrate on the frontal third or half. Having the hairline as is will save grafts and I think the sensible thing to do considering your hair loss pattern. You still have hair on the crown which could be helped with concealers until you see how you respond to Finasteride. With some luck, you may get enough regrowth of miniaturised hairs that stop the need for a crown transplant.

So, the big day has come!

I’ll give a full run down, with my pics and hopefully the clinic’s pictures too very soon.

Currently chilling in my hotel room after a full-on day, but pleased with how everything went. Think I scared the lad who bought me room service!

Here is a pic from a couple of hours post op. 3094 approx, with a ridiculous amount of triples I believe. I’ll post numbers when I have them.
