b.t.w here's a picture taken in ordinary light. The shockloss isn't very noticeable. Harsh sunlight exposes it.

Hi Josh

I can identify with that shockless and if you go to my thread you can see in my Post few weeks after the HT the shockloss, however if you check my 11 week Post the shockloss has grown back in, stay cool buddy and hopefully when you do your next update everything will be back to normal, thanks for yoor post

Hi Dazzster,

I'm not worried. it's just a bit unsightly under harsh light. Hopefully it'll grow back in as quickly as yours did.

I'm looking to your forthcoming updates. You'll look like a new man very soon I think;)

You should be at the beginning stages of growth. See any new hairs sprouting?

Hey all,

Sorry, I've haven't logged on here in a while. Anyway, I'm at 15 weeks now.

The donor shockloss started to fill in a couple of weeks ago. This was a relief, as even though you read that is 'almost always' comes back, you always have that niggling doubt when it's happened to you.

Last week I noticed the first signs of growth in the receipient area. Right now it's just liittle wispy hairs, but I wasn't expecting anything else at this stage.

Here's some pics...

Donor (- shockloss)

Left side...You can see where the hairline is just starting to come through. This will reattach my hairline to the side.

Right side...The triangular area to the right was the area that was transplanted, and is coming through faster than my left side.

Hi Josh.

Thanks for the update, i`m pleased your shockloss hair has returned and that you are seeing the early signs of growth. Both sides will catch up with each other, unfortunately it may look a little odd sometimes, although hair products can help you out.

Cheers Bm.

I too am glad your donor hairs are coming back. Your donor area looks thick. The fun part is just starting to happen. Thanks for the update.

Thanks guys,

One good thing about having a lot of unsightly donor shockloss is that it really takes your focus off the transplanted area. I've only really been checking my donor area over the last couple of months, and have almost forgotten about the transplanted area itself.

Thanks for all the good words.;)

Hi Josh, how is your donor scar looking now.

Hi Bigmac,

It's still red, although subsiding. It looks really thin, and I'm pretty confident that it'll be 'pencil thin', or close enough, but I can't be sure until the red disappears.

What's the best way to take a scar picture?

Scar pictures are notoriously hard to capture if you try it yourself, best options are have someone take one or set your camera on timer and hope for the best.

G'day all

This is the first forum I have ever joined, but reading it made me feel more at ease, I'm 3 and a half weeks post op with Dr Pong, the whole experience in Chiang Mai with the THT was fantastic

Now with all the shock loss, that I am experiencing on the frontal (transplanted area) Which I know is to be expected, my question for anyone, I still have quite lumpy scabs in the transplanted area, has anyone else had this? I read everywhere that 7-10 days all the scabs will be gone, this has been true where I assume single hairs were transplanted (hairline) , this is a little deeper in the hairline where the multiple hair grafts were placed, I picked a scab off and it was full of hair-FULL

Guys that are 6 months or later post op, are you all happy with your results?????
