I think I lost a graft - 3 hairs!?

2 months post surgery as some may know on my other topics - Most implanted hairs have shed as expected.

Just had this irritation around my crown where some 1,500 hairs were implanted and put a damp wet cloth over and rubbed it and notice 3 hairs came out with it and they are stuck together. No blood. - You can see crust around them!

Not sure if these are newly growing hairs or implanted hairs that were due to fall out - just strange how they are stuck together unlike regular hairs that shed after transplant do so separately Like I have experienced.

These were not separate as you can see in attached photo!? Have I lost a graft? Hair follicle/root?

Attached close up photo - just feeling worried, because they didn't shed separately.[):h::

I hope this isn't the new hair that has grown back partially and then shed? If so will the new hair grow back at that part of the scalp where if came out?

Look forward to hearing your thoughts?

This is how my implanted hairs would have normally shed - "j" shaped as seen below and compare to the hairs that have shed in above photo - could anyone please explain the difference between above photo and below so that I don't panic too much!? - This photo was taken 1 month post surgery - When hairs were expected to shed but the photo above was taken today!

Dude you probably just need to relax and wait few more months for your hair to start growing, until then all you are doing is panicking for no reason. Some people don't see results till they are 3-4 months post surgery. Have a cup of tea and some jaffa cakes and relax :)

Hi friend

You got a long way to go so try and focus on something else I know its difficult but things like going to the gym or picking up a new hobby does help , as for the grafts its difficult to say as normally at this stage the graft is normally settled well be low the surface , your going to be fine just try and chill out.

Take care I care

Yes I appreciate everyone saying to chill and relax etc but would be delighted to know why at this stage my grafts are falling out 2 months post surgery that's all. LOL.

They are stalled hairs, basically they are hairs that should have fell out during your shed but they are just sitting there not growing. You may need to be more aggressive when shampooing to dislodge them, if you visited a HT clinic they would pluck them out as they just slip out.Your original transplanted bulb is still in your dermis waiting to grow, by having these stalled hairs removed you are clearing the way.

Thanks Bigmac

Just the sort of answer that I was waiting for :::C.

I was just nervous that they were new hairs that had grown and fallen out the same time! So from why I understand is that these hairs should have fallen out anyway? - I wasn't too sure - I thought I lose the whole graft - as you can see 3 fell out at once.

Yes I am so careful because I do not want to ruin the implanted zone.

Just wondering why they never shed separately like they should have done. Can I ask what are these at the end of the hair shaft? is it the bulb? - I am sure I asked this in another topic ....but can't remember.

I agree with the rest of the guys. Overall how does the rest of your implanted zone look now, is it pretty much back to how it was pre op? exciting time ahead mate, i'm sure the understandable worrying will all pass when the growing kicks in pal.....please keep us in the loop
