Today, about 1 hour into the treatment one of our assistants noticed one of her eyes started to hurt. At first it looked like something had gotten in her eye, but she could not remove it. One of the other assistants noticed a tiny object inside her eye and it was decided to call in one of the eye surgeons that work at our clinic.
It turned out to be more serious than what was expected an after an hour a small metal piece was removed under local anesthetics. Since her eye was numbed she could no longer continue to work.
Meanwhile our backup assistant had already taken over here place in the team and the treatment was unaffected by this incident.
It just shows that a good HT team must be flexible and the need for backup in this subtle treatment is very important.
