Unfortunately there is no black and white answer.
Everybody has different skin, different environment conditions, protection against the sun etc.

Touch up for density effects like in this example usually occur 5-10 years after the initial treatment. This makes sense because due to the existing hair there is little effect from the sun on the scalp.

For shaven look style SMP most guys come in after 3-5 years after the initial treatments.
