Is my hair loss permanent?

Every time I talked to a friend (who happened to be a doctor) about my hair, he always told me my anxiety is more likely to be the cause of the thinning. For the last 5 years I've been worried about my hair; I'm 23 now and I started noticing thinning on my right temple at 18. In the past year, I've noticed thinning at the very front of my hair line and a little bit on my left temple as well. At the crown I have virtually no loss there, but in the last week or so I've noticed more thinning there...

I have a sh-t ton of anxiety and in the last year I've been going through a lot of life changes (graduating college, getting my first job, going through a very painful breakup and holding on to hope for over 6 months... -.-).

I guess I'm just really really hoping that maybe somehow my life isn't getting worse, and that I'm not really losing my hair permanently... My hair was (still kind of is) my best feature and I don't know how I'm gonna live without it -.-

The first 4 pictures below are pictures I took of my hair when I was 18 in 2009. The bottom 3 pictures are of my hair now. Someone please tell me this is temporary and due to anxiety?!?!? :'#G::

There is nothing wrong with your hair, quit worrying about it.

What you are experiencing is more than likely just your hairline maturing from a juvenile hairline this happens to the vast majority of men where the temples open up and show some slight recession. My temples used to be rounded off when I was 16. It's just you turning into a man so don't worry and enjoy all that lovely hair!

Your hair looks ok to me, as David says it will mature with age but right now you have a good head of hair.

Don't worry about it. Your are in initial stage of Alopecia i.e Norwood 2. Hair Transplant is a certain solution for it. Just find a good hair doctor for your treatment who has adequate experience of Hair transplant or dermatology.Get check your body or health condition properly such as Blood pressure level, thyroid level, PH level, Harmonal level etc.

there is nothing much to worry about at this stage. I would wait until further stages before considering hair transplant as an option.

Your hair looks amazing dude.....stop stressing, but if your really worried take regular pictures and keep an eye on things over the next year or so and if things progress then don't panic you have options.

Your hair doesn't have anything to worry about yet. But if you visit any good hair specialists, you may be able to get advice on how to prevent hair loss. Good treatment can definitely help you to keep your hair in good condition. I worried a lot when I started losing my hair. But I was able to get treatment for hair loss from chtc.ca hair clinic in Toronto, which helped me a lot with health of my hair.
