I found one clinic website that claims, "the FUE procedure doesn't create scars." The point I was trying to make is not whether this is misleading or not, but (given that it is) is there anything that can be done about it? How are clinics allowed to make these claims given that they are untrue?

You can mention it on here. You can report to advertising standards, you can contact the clinic for an explanation.

I have contacted the clinic, and they conceded that there are scars but that they are "virtually undetectable." I said that this is not the same thing as claiming that there are no scars and asked them to change their website. I have also mentioned it here on this forum. The next logical step would be to contact advertising standards. Thank you for your help.

If you read the link I added you will see there are variables on how they interpret no scars. Some will say, no linear scar, no scars at a certain hair length, hard to see without magnification etc.
