Is this male Pattern Baldness?

Hey everyone, I hope someone can offer some advice on my hair loss. My hair is thinning out on the sides of my head from my ears upward. The rest of my hair is still strong and healthy. Is this a type of Male Pattern Baldness? Or could I be suffering from some sort of skin condition?
If anyone else has experienced this I would like to hear what action you took?

As Salvar says going to need to see some photos to understand what you are saying. Above your ears maybe retrograde alopecia but would need to see photos.
