Hey Joe,
It's been a long time! I'm sitting in a chair in Turkey with my iPad watching flicks while getting my procedure and decided to click on your video...WTF--couldn't you have posted this a little sooner:( I'm not really sure where I am or I would leave. They shuttled me from place to place with different drivers and I guess I have to sit it out. Ha ha ha.

Oh I jest. I realize that it is a very serious problem and some of them "Physicians" are making their way here. I know that there is a clinic in Dearborn Michigan that has a high middle eastern population. I believe also that it is one price for all. Likely the person has no proper credentials--I honestly think it is just a Tech from Turkey. Very sad that people will go.

Good job on the exposing. Hopefully it does help people. Unfortunately so many people are desperate and lured by the lower cost.

On another note: I heard that they are also experimenting with cloning in Turkey and get unsuspecting blood from foreigners thru varying means? Did you report on that at all?

I see more than that. This is the screenshot I took (and cropped) this morning while on their website.

Wow!! Whatclinic wants to charge clinics for their referrals. The enquiries from this site are not worth responding to.

There are a number of good clinics in Turkey, unfortunately there is a lot of bad ones. Anyone reading this thread needs to understand the message is research thoroughly before having a transplant, don't go on price alone.

Hey NN,
Good to hear from you. I hope you're well. I'm gathering some info for a new project I'm working on (one of about 20!). If you wouldn't mind sending me the name of the clinic I'd appreciate it.

No, but I'm planning a return trip to interview the clone they made from drawing my blood during my "consultation".

Joe--I'll try to get the name of the clinic in Michigan. I just heard about it thru the grapevine by someone I know that was looking to rent a place. They stated something about this clinic but the person doesn't know I had a HT so it wasn't the topic at hand. I'll attempt some research.

Also Joe I'd be careful over there in Turkey. I honestly kept waiting for the part in the video where they suspected you had a camera and quickly shuttled you into a dumpster somewhere. ;;D

Hey man, every good story needs some suspense, right? To be honest, I was waiting for this part too. It was pretty scary doing this and when my handler was whispering to me that they wanted to take me to a private location I was genuinely worried about the true motivation for this.

That's precisely what I think was going down! Well they did seem all about money so possibly they would have diced you up first and parted you out for whatever organs you have yet to destroy! ;ss;

i also went to turkey, cosmedica to be precise. I wish I had done what I was going to do and wait another year, as I would have seen these videos. This is exactly what happened when I went, a cattle market. I now regret going to turkey, my head looks terrible, I feel like crying with anger, and my own stupidity for taking the cheaper option.

Try not to be too down on yourself. Everyone makes mistakes and with something as emotive and stressful as hair loss it's all too easy to make a rash decision. Not sure of your situation but if this was your first transplant then you should still hopefully have enough grafts available for a successful repair.

I agree with Pete. You should also understand that the power of the Turkish HT industry marketing machine has never been seen before. When one country is responsible for 20% to 25% of all hair restoration performed on the planet then it kind of makes sense that it is easier than ever to fall victim to shallow marketing practices.

When I have time I'm going to discuss the method in which Turkish clinics pull in western and even Middle Eastern clients. It is a subject the deserves another week or two of filming in Turkey but, for several reasons, I don't see this happening.
