I know weve touched upon this topic before when they first came out, but as it's been a while now i'm curious to know whether anyones tried one on here or know of anyone who has. They certainly look the part but do they actually help?

I remember when there was a real buzz on hairloss forums about 12-13yrs ago. Many posters stating what awesome results they had with them and discussions even involved making your own laser helmet. There was many a thread about them on regrowth.com

My conclusion was most of the posters praising laser treatment were salesman or posters who were also taking finasteride or rogaine and mistakingly believing the lasers were having a positive effect on their hairloss.

From recollection I recall that the lasercomb was FDA approved. However from memory I recall many a conversation of how reliable the clinical trials were and how could they tell whether or not trial participants were using hairloss meds at the time.

I have spoken to 2 people in tne past who have used the lasercomb and neither had positive reviews.

Hi bullitnut,
Been using the Theradome laser helmet for nearly a year now 3 x per week, can't say it's really done anything to my hair to be onest
My wife is using it as well and she says her hair is better than it has ever been, more volume to it.In my opinion it seems to work better for women than men.

Cheers Don.

Thanks dude, you raise a good point and one iv'e personally never thought about when iv'e read info on these types of products, they really should use patients who aren't taking any other preventative methods like Finasteride etc for the trials to be done correctly.....but then again how would they know anyway. Cheers pal.

Hi Don thats interesting to know, Do you think it could be because your wife hasn't lost as much as you?.....and youve had ht's to restore yours, maybe that's the difference?...........do you think it's helped at all with maintaining your hair if not regrowing it?

Thanks Pal

Bullitnut,
I think it might maintain the hair you've got and might thicken up the existing hair the same way as Minoxidil works.
My wife's hair has more body and looks alot better.
So it might work for some but not for others just like all the treatments out there.i suppose you just have to try it for yourself, the only thing is there not cheap to buy.

The one im using is called the Theradome.

Cheers Don.
