Looking for good UK transplant clinic

Hi
I'm looking at getting a HT sometime in 2013. I'm hoping to find a good clinic that isn't ridiculously expensive as well.

Problem is half the information on clinics i find on the internet is from the clinics trying to promote themselves by giving there own 'reviews' (which amazingly always seem to be brilliant haha)

So far I've booked a free consultation with a clinic in leeds that belongs to the 'UK Hair Transplant Clinics' group. Seems to be hard to find any reviews on them because of there name, which I'm guessing could be a bag thing.
I've also seen a bit about the BHR clinic which seems promising but it is very far away.

Anyway any information would be much appreciated or if you know the best person to talk to, to get good impartial advice. Thanks

BHR is 2 hours on the train from London, not far at all. Don't bother with the UK if you value your head.

Listen to Sparky.

Send your pictures to Stephen from BHR and listen to his advice.

There are other good clinics but given my experience was with BHR they are the only clinic I can talk about with any authority.

2 hours on a train is nothing. If you are happy with the clinic a train ride is nothing.

Best of luck.

I also echo what you wrote ;)

Have a look through the doctors section on here, send your pictuires to them for their opinion and price structures.

If you strictly wish to stay in the UK then Dr.Farjo in Manchester is well worth a visit.

Good advice there. I decided against Farjo because I didn't like the cosmetic results I saw - purely a personal choice. However, he is a safe pair of hands no question.

For some reason, the area around Brussels is a centre of excellence for transplants. There are at least 3 clinics there that you could rely on to do a good job.

Hopefully we`ll be arranging another meet up in the New Year, great way of getting useful info and seeing lots of doctors work in one place.

Belgium is no effort at all and BHR reputation speaks for itself.

When i was doing research on uk clinics there was on farjo that came into it.I think theres a clinic on harley street london thats produced decent results of late though, not sure of the name.

As many will tell you, distance shouldnt be the biggest factor when deciding on a clinic.I hated the idea of going outside the uk too,but brussels is only an hours flight from leeds/manchester airport or about 2 hours on the euro.Your back before you know it :)

If you are looking at the UK I would only talk to Mick at the Farjo clinic.

On the other topic it would be great to have another meet up as the other one was a good success.

Farjo seem to be the only clinic in the UK who do consistent good work.
