Lots of scabs after 5 days

Hello,

Today is my 5th day post-operation.

To give some context, on the day of the surgery, I had blood that I didn't clean thoroughly enough. I then sprayed myself with saline water to hydrate the donor area until day 4, when I started shampooing.

Today, I have many scabs due to the dried blood on my head and I also have some empty areas.

Here is an image from the day of the operation :

2 days after the operation :

And 5 days after the operation :

Is this normal at this time?

Thank you for your answers

It is normal to have scabbing and some empty areas in the recipient area especially on the 5th day post-operation. Scabbing occurs as part of the healing process, and it is important to allow the scabs to naturally fall off without picking or scratching them. Gentle washing and shampooing, as instructed by your surgeon, can help soften the scabs and promote their natural removal.

Regarding the empty areas, it is important to note that hair transplant results take time to fully develop. It is common for transplanted hair to shed within the first few weeks after surgery. This shedding is a normal part of the hair growth cycle, and new hair will gradually start to grow in its place over the coming months.

Very normal to look the way you do. You may not have sprayed enough to keep the scabs at bay. Plus shampooing X number of days after surgery will look like this. Around day 10-12, you should be mostly scab free.
