Minoxidil and pregnant women ?

I recently read the below paragraph -
I understand pregnant women should

not be exposed to Finasteride or Minoxidil. I will not use the treatment if my
partner is pregnant or trying to become pregnant.

I thought this could be the case with Finisterade but I did not think minoxidil could be an issue ?

Most medications will give warnings if there is a slight risk involved. Quite a few people have conceived while taking Finasteride, myself included. My son is 16, fit and healthy. I’ve never heard of anyone saying a problem has arisen with a child when the father was taking Finasteride. It’s a decision only you can make.

I was mainly surprised with the statement regarding minoxidil.

I think it’s just a precaution. Like common pain meds, they have all sorts of warnings listed as possible side effects.
Some people are allergic to penicillin, it’ll kill them, but most of us have no problem.
If in doubt, I would simply not use it until conceived.
